THE CRAFTSMAN BEHIND STUCCO STILE.
Paul.
An artisan from an early age, I began my career serving a traditional four-year apprenticeship with one of Derbyshire’s oldest specialist decorating companies — where I learned that exceptional finishes are built not just with skill, but with patience and uncompromising preparation.
Over the years I’ve had the privilege of working on bespoke decorative projects across the UK and Europe — a journey that introduced me to Venetian plaster and changed the direction of my craft entirely. Since then I’ve trained extensively with Novacolour and Clayworks, and I’m proud to work as a Clayworks Approved Applicator.
I don’t just finish walls. I pour something into them. Every project receives my full attention — heart, patience, and everything I’ve learned across a lifetime of craft. That’s not something I can switch off, and I wouldn’t want to.
My belief is simple: walls are the largest canvas in any room. They deserve the same care, intention, and artistry as anything that hangs on them.
